Where to report cybercrime, country by country
If you have been scammed, hacked or hit by ransomware, report it officially. Banks and insurers often need a report before they act, and it helps the police connect your case to others. Here are the official routes, checked against government websites in October 2026.

Report it to your local police, and look on your government's website for the national CERT or cyber security agency. Searching that site for “report cybercrime” usually finds it.
A warning that matters: anyone who contacts you offering to "recover" lost money for an upfront fee is almost always running a second scam. Official services never charge to take a report. Trust & Safety
