Terms of Service
Last updated:
The short version
We act only on systems and premises you own or are authorised to control, and that authorisation goes in writing. Our findings are advice, not a guaranteed outcome. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before any work or payment.
Agreeing to these terms
By using www.mounteyes.com you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. Where you engage us for a paid service, these terms apply alongside the written scope we agree for that engagement, and if the two ever conflict, the specific written scope wins.
What we provide
Security guides, offered as-is for your own use and education. Monitoring platforms, delivered as an ongoing service against an agreed scope and response window. And security engagements delivered by people: assessment and testing, incident response, forensics, recovery assistance through official channels, and advisory work.
Monitoring reduces the time a problem goes unnoticed and, where it is safe to do so, contains it automatically. It does not transfer responsibility for your systems to us: you remain the operator, and decisions about your infrastructure remain yours.
Acceptable use and authorisation
We act only on systems, accounts, networks and premises you own, or that you have explicit written authorisation to control or assess — and we require that authorisation before the first scan, test or deployment. Testing someone else's property without it is unlawful in India and in most jurisdictions, and it is not something we will do at any price or on any assurance given verbally.
You must not use anything here to gain unauthorised access, intercept traffic, monitor people covertly, harass anyone, or misrepresent who you are. You must not probe or attempt to overwhelm this site's own infrastructure outside the responsible-disclosure route on our Trust & Safety page. We may suspend access without notice where we believe this clause is being broken.
Where a deployment records people — CCTV monitoring in particular — you are responsible for the lawful basis, for visible notice at every entrance, and for telling staff that monitoring is in place. We will not configure covert surveillance of individuals, and we will withdraw from a deployment that turns out to be one.
What we will not do, at any price
We do not hack, crack passwords, bypass two-factor authentication, defeat platform security or access an account without its owner's authority — and no fee changes that. Account recovery assistance means helping you use the official recovery and appeal channels the platform itself provides. If your request requires breaking a platform's security, we will decline it and explain why.
Scope, quotes and payment
This site publishes no prices, because cost follows scope. After an enquiry we agree in writing what is in scope, what is not, the basis of the fee and the response windows, before you pay anything. Work begins once that scope is agreed, and anything outside it is a new agreement rather than an assumed extension of the old one.
We never ask for card or UPI details over chat, email or a phone call. Payment is arranged through an agreed invoice or a hosted checkout you navigate to yourself.
Because the deliverable is expert time and engineering work, fees for work already performed are not refundable simply because the outcome was not the one you hoped for. If we fail to deliver what the agreed scope said we would, tell us and we will correct it or refund the affected portion.
No guaranteed outcome
We do not guarantee that monitoring will prevent every incident, that a suspended or compromised account will be restored, that a platform will decide in your favour, that funds will be recovered, or that acting on our advice will prevent every future problem. Those decisions belong to platforms, banks, insurers and law enforcement. Any provider claiming otherwise is misleading you.
Not legal, financial or law-enforcement advice
Nothing here is legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for filing a police or cybercrime report. Where a situation needs a lawyer or a formal complaint, we will say so and point you to the right channel — we will not stand in for it.
Your responsibilities
Describe your situation accurately, hold the authority you claim to hold over the systems, networks and premises involved, and act on time-sensitive advice promptly. Do not send us credentials — we do not want them and our forms will refuse them. Keep your own backups before any change we recommend, and keep the lawful basis and notice in place for anything that records people.
Third-party platforms and links
We link to official platform pages because they are the correct destination, not because we control them. Those pages change without notice, and their terms and privacy practices are their own. If a link here has gone stale, tell us and we will fix it.
Intellectual property
The site's text, design, code and the software behind our platforms belong to us. You are welcome to follow the guides for yourself or inside your own organisation, and reports we produce for you are yours to use. Republishing our content as your own, or reselling access to our platforms, is not permitted without written consent.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data, or loss arising from a platform's or a third party's decision. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees you paid us for the engagement the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, termination and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page changes when we do, and continued use is acceptance of the current version. Either of us may end an engagement in writing, with fees due for work already done. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
